Description: | Well maintained Swan 48! Remarks of the owner: In spring 2012 we took over this wonderful ocean-going sailing yacht from its owners in Northern Italy. Already there we had many renovations done by the shipyard licensed by Nautor Swan: New rod rig, installation of new B&G plotters in the nav corner as well as on the new mounting bracket at the helm; installation of the Pacific RR antenna on the mast top for all necessary frequencies, new charger and inverter for 2500 Watt with Remote Controll, the service - batteries and engine start batteries were renewed; Installation of a new TV in the saloon, new Alpine Radio with DVD playback, new radio with CD and Bluetooth in the owner\\\'s cabin, replacement of all sanitary pipes and toilets, installation of a new hold-ing tank which has never been used until today. New halyards were installed and a new staysail with reefing system and red sail corners were made as storm sails. The sheet cars for the genoa sheets were converted to roller bearings; the underwater hull received 5 coats of Gelshield as new protection, hard anti-fouling of Nautix AT 4 Speed for lowest friction with the water. After these first refit measures the yacht was sailed over a wonderful Croatia holiday to Palma de Mallorca, from where it was brought to Bremerhaven within a week as deck load on a freighter. After that the further update work on the ship took place in winter 2012-2013. As long as the yacht is in my possession, it was always sailed in my pres-ence on board. Ongoing improvements: Since it was not intended to sell this fast cruiser/racer until now, continuous improve-ments were made until the end without saving costs. After arriving in Hamburg in autumn 2012, the Volvo Penta M22 engine was removed and completely dismantled down to the smallest screw at the ship engine company Baguhn/Hamburg. All parts with signs of wear were replaced and thus a completely overhauled engine was created, which has only 650 hours after the overhaul due to the excellent cruising characteristics of the yacht. A locking circuit was installed to prevent theft. New starter battery with switching device to start the generator and vice versa. In this context, the engine compartment was restored to new condition and received lighting with a circuit breaker, automatic temperature-controlled ventilation. In 2014 a generator (Panda 4500 Watt, 220 V) was installed in the aft cabin in Nautor Swan Standard; with remote control in the nav-corner; converter, separation system of exhaust gas with cooling water for almost silent operation for the port neighbours; further relay controlled cooling water suction pump to avoid water hammer, with own starter battery with separate charger and switch to start the main engine in case of failure of the starter battery of the main engine and vice versa. Previous running time approx. 350 hours (new operating hours counter); Engine maintenance and oil change according to the maintenance specifications of Fischer Panda contract company. Viewing is highly recommended! |
